For rental bins, any type of non-hazardous waste is acceptable. We provide you with a checklist of acceptable materials to place into the bin.
Hazardous waste including gas cylinders, aerosol, oils, solvents or paint cans. If you are not sure, consult the provided checklist or contact us.
Each municipality has their own rules regarding bins left on the street. Some municipalities prohibit this, while others will allow it with a permit. We recommend consulting your local bylaw office to determine your municipality’s rules for leaving rented bins on the street. Crystal Bins is not responsible for fines regarding bins placed on the street illegally. You are permitted to fill the bin to the top rim. Avoid placing large items in the bin that may stick out the top, as the drivers refuse to pick up unsafe bins.
We recommend providing us with two days’ notice to ensure you receive the bin and the size you need. However, we do offer same day or next day delivery. If you require Saturday delivery, please let us know by Friday afternoon.
No, the rental fee is the same for all bins regardless of their size.
You’re billed based upon the weight of the vehicle at the dump scales. Rain will add weight to the contents of the bin (especially if you have placed dirt in the bin). We recommend placing a tarp on top of the bin if heavy rain is in the forecast. We sell tarps.
Pickup is usually available on the same or the next business day. Call us and we will dispatch the next available truck to collect your bin.
Your initial fee covers a 7-day rental. Each additional day is subject to a daily rental charge.
No, we do not collect the bin until you call us to do so. Beyond the first 7 days, we will charge a daily rental fee.
If you require a bin on an ongoing basis, please contact our office and we can negotiate a discounted monthly rate with an automatic collection schedule.
Yes, the initial rental fee is the pickup and delivery fee for the first bin you rented. You will be required to pay another rental fee to rent another bin.
